I talked to Bob this morning and his feelings are that on high
performance cross bows are that the life of the limbs are greatly
deceased. But its up to you if you want to try them. He was busy
setting up a 3d shoot for today so I ask him to post his veiws when
he has time.

Excalibur has gone back to the stock Dacron strings on their bows which does slow the bow a bit but eliminates a lot of sound and shock as it does on any bow. It is proven stop limb breakage a considerable amount.

Problem I see is the limbs as we know from many sting stop systems tend to be abusive to the limbs over the long haul. Reason is they are not alowed to complete the shot cycle. ON the Excalibur the travel after the shot is actually part way onto the riser. This system would not allow that to occur and would be stressed suddenly without the ability to flex the full extent.

Now this is my opinion and others may differ.

2 cents is 2 cents

I remember this sword in which King Arthur used this one in a fight.
