What to do with a FBT Discovery ....

Postby ragingfarmer on Thu Feb 04, 2010 3:08 pm

... in quite good condition.
Hello to all, I´m new here, farmer and farmland "seller" from northern Germany, hunter, gun owner and since some month been bitten by the lever-bow-fever.
Since I couldn´t stand waiting for my ordered Monster Dragon I searched the web nd found a firebrand discovery for a cheap price and though I´ll give it a try.
I shot it now and think it could have been much better.
So what do I do with it ( My Dragon arrived at the customs-station in the next town and I can pick it up tomorrow) since I don´t need it in the current configuration.
Sell it as a "collectable item" or change it into a shoot-through bow? Is it difficult to do by myself (Ido all of my gunshmithing by myself and have some tools.
Thanks
Theo

Bigfish at http://www.5150bows.com knows how to convert the Discovery to shoot-thru. I have a Discovery and am planning to convert it to shoot-thru, have accumulated the parts to do it but haven't done it yet.

By the way I have a Dragon. The Discovery is a piece of junk compared to a Dragon but is an interesting piece of lever bow history.

I sent you an Email on the Discovery. I would be interested in buying it

THANKS,

BTW I converted my Discovery to shoot thru. It works much better than stock but is still very very crude compared to anything Monster makes. Don't waste your time with the Discovery unless someone gives one to you. Even if they do still save your money and get a Monster.
